What is an AI Visibility Report? What it measures and how it works

Updated 2026-10-27

An AI Visibility Report shows what AI models actually say about your business and how closely that matches the truth. It builds a fact profile from your own website, asks several AI models about you, and scores each answer against those facts, then lists the knowledge gaps and what to fix. It is a snapshot of today, not a guarantee of future recommendations.

How the report works

  • Ground truth: your website is crawled and the key facts are extracted (name, services, products, locations, certifications, technologies and more).
  • Model queries: ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini are asked about the business, using live web search where available.
  • Comparison: each model answer is checked signal by signal against the ground truth and marked as matched, partial, missing or unsupported.
  • Scoring: each model gets a visibility score, plus an overall score and a potential score if the gaps were closed.

What you get

  • A visibility score per model and an overall score.
  • Which facts each model got right, partly right, missed, or made up.
  • Prioritised knowledge gaps with a recommendation for each.
  • A shareable link and PDF.

What it cannot do

It cannot guarantee that any AI will mention or recommend you. Models change, and answers can vary between runs. The value is knowing where the models are wrong or silent so you can fix the sources they rely on, then measure again.
